This blog was a very fun thing to start and I would like to continue it. I know that I have not posted on it for a very long time. So long that I do not remember how to change the picture header and I am no long Lindsay Farber. I will be changing that soon and I want to get back to commenting on photos that I take and raving about photos that other people take. This space is really meant to be a place for me to improve my creative and descriptive writing but I would love for anyone to stick around and read if they like.
That is all for now. I best get out my camera for once. ;)

FLASH!!!!
Flash is the coolest software ever! I have this huge manual in front of me to teach me how to use this software that I have used in the past. Obviously things have changed in it but really not that much. I never used it to its full potential but now I want to and it looks like I have a lot to learn. First I am making an animated giff. Shoud be fun :b. Should be post-it heaven! March is my month. I am focusing this month on creating a shell to post my portfolio in and to start the habit of fitness. Climbing Mount Hood this Summer might be Adams thing but I feel like its a great thing for us to do together. What an accomplishment it could be! This is my March post. I hope to post some bench marks for my site in the next weeks.

Directer Dan Reed has been involving the world in the creation of his passionate film Straightheads in the form of a blog. http://straightblog.typepad.com/straightblog/ Being able to view all of the hurtles along the way has helped my appreciation for the independent films. I hope we can push some publicity for this film. While it might be hard to watch, I think it has a very important message. I will let you find its' message on your own. Please go see the movie when it comes to your area and feel free to post this trailer on your own Blogs and Myspace pages.

Wow! A Merry Christmas to everyone! I cannot believe I havent posted on here since before Thanksgiving. When it rains it pours. Portland has been under water for about a month now. I have yet to see the sunny days that usually break up the clowds during the winters prior. What an interesting Christmas it has been. I have never celebrated Christmas with out the inlaws or my family. It was so nice and relaxing. Got to sit around and watch movies and play in the snow (not in Portland or course). New changes and opertunities are on the horizon. Two home businesses being started at once... How stressful is that? Its exciting and horible all at the same time. It feels forced but I know of no other way to get the two of us off our butts faster. Know of anyone who need Swim lessons or photos done?
Best wishes for the new year. Loves!

The addition of a scanner and Photoshop has helped a ton. I feel like I might actually get a portfolio on there some time soon. Unfortunately IWEB is still crashing every time I open it. I really dont want to learn Dreamweaver if I dont have to. This picture is a stump on a beach in Lake Tahoe NV. Kings beach is covered with these rocks, all tumbled by the lake to look perfectly smooth. The contrast between these rocks and this mangled stump was something I just couldn't pass up. If I remember correctly I shot this with a red filter and fairly shallow depth of field. With out the help of Photoshop this print would be almost impossible to spot. I have never felt it stood up to a judgmental eye but I always liked the composition. Its a little bit of home up here in Portland :)

Wow Its been a little while since I wrote on here. Its kinda sad since I just started it. I found a ton of final prints that never got matted so the online portfolio marches on. Unfortunatly I have not gotten past the data collection process. Working over time does not make working on a home business a fast process. I have been getting increasingly excited about the winter season coming up. Having dreams of snowfall and rails. Hope to stretch my journalist muscle this season and catch a couple of air competitions. I will say good bye to summer this year with a picture of Isabelle in the pack we took up Thousand Island Lake. I have this very nostalgic feeling eating an apple the other day and I couldnt firgure it out. It just dawned on me that it is the same kind of apple Grandma Darner used to grow in her backyard. Another nod to summer I guess. Honey Crips apples are great right now ;)
